The Elon University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will host a crisis communications conference on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24 on the Elon campus.
The conference, “Rising from the Ashes,” will focus on crisis communications as a public relations professional. Students will participate in a crisis simulation sponsored by King’s English of Greensboro and BURN Energy Drink. Presentations will be led by Chad Campbell and Halley Henderson, Guilford County School Systems, who will discuss the handling of the Eastern Guilford High School fire that occurred in the fall. Joe Gleason, founder and President of the Gleason Group Inc,. will be the keynote speaker. Gleason has over 25 years of experience in public affairs, issues management and the non-profit sector.
