Come celebrate Arbor Day and the Town of Elon’s week-long Arbor Day festivities by attending a tree pruning workshop from 9-11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 17 in Yeager Recital Hall, located in the Center for the Arts on campus.
Sponsored by the Elon University Botanical Garden, the workshop will combine classroom lecture with hands-on field experience. Participants will learn proper pruning practices for ornamental and young trees. The program will be taught by Alamance County Extension Director Rett Davis and Elon Superintendent of Landscaping Tom Flood. Admission is free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.
