Chandana Chakrabarti, associate professor of religious studies, has been invited to serve on the advisory board for the project on “Extending the Convivencia: Engaging Fundamental Questions of Meaning and Value in the Global Suburb.” The advisory board comprises of scholars and administrators from a number of countries and interfaith organizations. Scholars and teachers will play a leading role in the project. Nationally and internationally known scholars and local religious and cultural leaders will deliver public lectures and engage in public dialogues and debate.The project will take place in Dallas, Texas. Chakrabarti will be delivering public lecture on eastern philosophy and religion in September 2007.
