Campus Safety’s Dan Ingle participates in state conference

Dan Ingle, a 1998 Elon graduate and criminal investigator in Elon’s Campus Safety and Police office, participated in a panel discussion as part of NAMI North Carolina’s state conference in Greensboro March 9-10. NAMI, or National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, is  a grassroots organization that provides support, education and advocacy for families and friends of people with serious mental illness as well as people with mental illness.

Dan, who is also vice-chair of the Alamance County Commissioners, addressed the conference attendees and fielded questions concerning the different ways that county commissioners address mental health issues, the service of county commissioners on mental health-related boards, and how citizens can effectively advocate for mental health issues with their county commissioners.  Dan also serves on the Alamance-Caswell-Rockingham (LME) Local Management Entity for mental health.
 
 
Dan also participated as a judge in the (ABSS) Alamance-Burlington School System TechTalk Live, which was held March 20 in Moseley Center.  Tech projects were presented by students from elementary, middle and high schools in the Alamance-Burlington School System.
