Faculty, students attend math conference

Several faculty and students attended the annual meeting of the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America at Georgia Southern University on March 16 and 17. Some faculty members led presentations, and some students created posters.

Students included Olivia Bolen (poster and talk); Matt Christian (poster); Patrick Davis (poster); Sarah Holmes (poster); Karen Hooper; Abigail Lauer; Kristin Mandella (poster and talk); Nathan Shemonski; Laura Sinden; Kristin Souther (poster); Jessica Stewart (poster); and Joanna Zanetto (poster).

The students entered a team in “Math Jeopardy” but did not make it to the final round.
