An article by David Noer, Holt Professor of Business Leadership, “A comparison of Saudi Arabian and US Managerial Learning Tactics,” has been accepted by the refereed International Journal of Management. The abstract appears below:
This study compared Saudi Arabian and US managerial learning tactics. The Learning Tactics Inventory (Dalton, 1999) was administered to a sample of Saudi Arabian and US managers to measure the degree to which they employed Action, Thinking, Feeling, or Accessing learning tactics. Results indicated that, relative to their US counterparts, Saudi Arabian Managers employed significantly more Accessing learning tactics. This was the first study to directly compare Saudi and US managerial learning tactics and implications for cross-culture problem solving and future research are discussed.
