The Department of Performing Arts will present "She Stoops to Conquer" on the McCrary Theatre stage Thursday, April 19-Sunday, April 22. Click here for show times and details...
Show times are set for 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The performance is directed by Fredrick Rubeck, associate professor of performing arts. “She Stoops to Conquer, written by Oliver Goldsmith, features all the elements of a classic romantic comedy. Mistaken identity, a drunken stepson, a bumbling leading man, and a stormy night all contribute to the confusion and hilarity of this production. Mistaking his host’s home for an inn, young Marlowe mistreats the lord of the manor and sets out to seduce the woman he presumes to be a serving wench.
Tickets for the show are $12 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets can be purchased at the Center for the Arts box office, or by calling (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
