“Global HIV/AIDS Crisis” talk Wednesday, May 2

The Elon Student Global AIDS Campaign, the Geography Program, and 2010 Periclean Scholars Proudly Present:

“The Global Crisis of HIV/AIDS: Leaning into the Challenge in ways that make a Difference” a talk by Dr. Jane Stephens.

Dr. Stephens, a former Elon Professor, will be speaking on her experience with HIV/AIDS in Africa, her organization (Amani Children), and what can be done to help the fight against AIDS.

Donations will be accepted for the 2010 Periclean Scholars’ Kpoeta Campaign to build a Health Center in Kpoeta, Ghana where 10,000 people lack access to health care each rainy season when the unpaved road between their village and the nearest health clinic becomes impassible to vehicles.
