A July 8 column in the Los Angeles Times by Michael Skube, assistant professor of communications, examines the current controversy over U.S. News & World Report college rankings. The column is titled “The No. 1 reason to rank colleges: Students and their parents have much to consider when picking a school. Starting with a few facts in U.S. News can’t hurt.”
Skube mentions Elon’s climb in the U.S. News rankings, but notes that few students and their parents choose a college simply because of a numerical ranking.
