Bill Andrews, assistant professor of physical therapy, along with DPT students Mabe Janney, Shannon Norbet, Jodi Friedberg, Tim Miller, and Alison Mobley helped distribute approximately 175 wheelchairs to Romanians with disabilities from July 12-23. They served with Wheels for the World, a ministry of Joni Eareckson Tada, in Bucharest and Craiova, Romania. Most of the wheelchair recipients had no means of mobility prior to the distribution. The students also gathered information regarding the recipients and the types of wheelchairs distributed in fulfillment of a service learning requirement for their internship.
