This week, associate professor of physics Anthony Crider is presenting two invited workshops at a national symposium on teaching astronomy. The meeting, “Cosmos in the Classroom 2007,” is sponsored by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and Pomona College.
During the workshops, participants will use Second Life to visit Elon University’s virtual island, to explore a mock-up of the Apollo 11 landing site, and to construct models of the inner planets.
