Pink, a national magazine focused on women who are making on impact on the world, features Wendy’s CEO Kerrii Anderson in its August/September 2007 cover story.
The article, titled “Burger Battle,” says that Anderson’s “inclusive style and humble roots make for a charismatic CEO” for Wendy’s International Inc. Anderson is the lone female CEO among the nation ‘s top three fast food hamburger companies. She was named CEO in 2006 after serving as interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer.
The magazine details Anderson’s plans to increase company earnings, with special initiatives to promote Wendy’s breakfast offerings and to reduce trans fats in foods.
In explaining Anderson’s roots growing up in North Carolina’s Alamance County, the magazine reports that by age 21, “she had graduated magna cum laude from Elon College, right there in her hometown of Elon, N.C., having heeded her father’s mantra that nothing in life is more important than an education.”
Anderson is also featured in the summer issue of the Magazine of Elon, which is now being mailed to the Elon community.
