VIDEOTAPE EDITOR – Part Time (17 hours/week)
Responsible for editing videotape for various newscasts using state-of-the-art recorders and editors, under specific time constraints. Must ensure that record machines for feeds are operating properly. Maintains tape file system, informs Producers of tape status, and coordinates tape editing. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once, under deadline and in a close team-oriented environment. Good news judgment and knowledge of legal issues is necessary. Experience in non-linear editing and at least one year news editing experience preferred. High school diploma required and college degree preferred.
