Noer publishes News & Record column on assessing candidates for public office

David Noer, the Frank S. Holt Jr. Professor ofBusiness Leadership, published his News & Record monthly column on Sunday, Sept. 8. Noer examined three things for voters to consider when assessing candidates for public office: their need for power, achievement and affiliation. His column was based on ideas put forth by motivational theorist David McClelland.
