Phi Mu will be sponsoring events the week of Oct. 1 to raise money for its philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network. On Monday, Oct. 1, a cookout for all fraternities will be held at the Phi Mu house. Hursey’s Barbeque will be served and it will be a $1 admittance fee. All proceeds will go to CMN.
On Tuesday at 7p.m. at the house, all sororities are invited to decorate pumpkins which will be delivered to the children at Duke’s Hospital. Throughout the week, there will be a table set up in the Moseley Center from 11-3 p.m., selling baked goods and providing “change wars” for fraternities. All fraternities are invited to participate, and the winner of these “change wars” will get to play their baseball game on the diamond at the Firehouse fields during Frats at Bat.
On Friday, Oct. 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., a car wash will be held at Autobell Car Wash, located at 2090 S. Church Street. All community members are invited to stop by and have their car washed for a good cause.
Finally, on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 3-6 p.m., Phi Mu’s annual Frats at Bat baseball tournament will take place on the Firehouse fields. Fraternity members should talk to their coaches about locations for earlier festivities.
