Steve DeLoach, an associate professor and chair of the economics department at Elon, spoke with News 14 Carolina on Oct. 19, 2007, about the recent spike in crude oil prices and what that means for drivers at the pump.
“If you go back to the 1970s, we are significantly less dependent on oil, now, as a nation, then we were,” DeLoach said.
