Elon’s feminist organization, EFFECT, is seeking contributions for its fall event, The New ‘F’ Word: Empowering Women for Change and Leadership, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30pm. This event is geared towards celebrating and emphasizing why feminism is important for the empowerment of women.
We are looking for volunteers from any member of Elon’s community – students, faculty, and staff alike – to speak, perform, or otherwise contribute to the program. We are looking for your personal expression of feminism and empowerment that can be presented in a 5-10min block of our event’s program. Your expression of feminism and empowerment can be in any medium you see fit – testimony, poetry (your own or a favorite), film clips, musical performance, interpretive dance, etc.
