The scholarship was first introduced to universities in 1990 and the scholarship is designed to award students for their academic achievements, involvement in their community, keeping a well-balanced lifestyle and leadership rolls in and outside of the Elon University community. Sigma Phi Epsilon would like to award this scholarship to a college student who realizes the importance of a balanced academic, service, athletic and well rounded life. To ensure that the most eligible student receives the scholarship, neither membership nor affiliation with SigEp will be required.
