LD Russell, a lecturer in religious studies, will offer insight into “Sangha Day,” a Buddhist holiday celebrating the all members of the Buddhist community. In some areas it is especially meant to celebrate the monks and nuns of the Buddhist community (such as those recently in the news in Myanmar/Burma). This holiday is one of the three most important in the Buddhist tradition.
