The son of the late NFL football legend Reggie White will hold a book signing next month at Elon University where the first-time author and college senior is completing his journalism degree.
The event will feature a reading by Jeremy White, whose autobiographical book, “In His Shadow – Growing Up with Reggie White,” has already been featured on national television programs, including ESPN.
His signing takes place Nov. 15, 2007, from 6:30-8 p.m. in Studio B in the McEwen School of Communications. Sports Publishing LLC published “In His Shadow” in 2006 when Jeremy White was a junior. Reggie White, a football player for the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers, died Dec. 26, 2004, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Feb. 4, 2006.
White will read passages from his book at 7 p.m. and answer questions from the public afterward. Refreshments will be provided and books will be available for purchase, courtesy of the campus bookstore.
This is a free non-ticketed event and parking will be available around campus at no charge. The Eta Gamma chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the School of Communications honor society, is sponsoring in the event.
