Steve Friedland, professor of law and senior scholar, was interviewed for a story on WFMY-TV2 Nov. 29 about an upcoming Guilford County murder trial.
Reporter Tracy McCain interviewed Friedland about the case of Decarlo Bennett, who awaits trial on murder charges in the Guilford County Jail. Bennett is accused of murdering Sherri Jackson, who has never been found after her disappearance a year ago. Police seized blood stained carpet, a trunk liner and two knives from Bennett’s car and Jackson’s apartment. Friedland discussed the potential difficulty prosecutors face in proving their case without a body.
