A new DVD that follows eight students through their first year of law school includes Marty Peters, professor of legal education.
“The Trials of Law School” gives an insider’s view of the first year at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. The 87-minute DVD includes interviews with students and law faculty from across the country about the unique nature of law school and the pressures associated with it.
Peters discusses the adjustment many law students need to make from the way they studied in high school or college. “A certain amount of (law school) is endurance,” Peters says. “Students who build their endurance over the semester tend to do better….The main stressor for first-year students is the uncertainty of law school study.”
