Matthew Valle, associate professor of business administration, and Robert Pavlik, associate professor of finance, have been notified that their manuscript “Factors Affecting Share Repurchase Decisions and Managerial Compensation: Innovation in Pay-For-Performance or Disguised Managerial Opportunism?” has been accepted for presentation at the 2008 Conference of the Society for the Advancement of Management in Arlington, Va.
The paper presents a causal model of the antecedents to share repurchase decisions and subsequent impacts on managerial compensation via stock options.
