The Ghanaian Chronicle carried a report on contributions to a school building project by students in an Elon Winter Term course. The course, “Ghana: West
African History and Culture,” is led by faculty members Brian Digre and Bernard Curry. Digre has been named a development chief, with the name Togbe Darke I, in recognition of the support offered to the area. Donations by the Elon group have helped fund construction of a three-unit classroom block for the Sokode Senior High School.
