Mississippi news station reports on Elon efforts

ABC 13, which covers Biloxi and Gulfport in Mississippi, aired a segment this week on an Elon class that traveled to the region as part of a Winter Term course on volunteer work and social justice. The course, led by assistant professor Ocek Eke in the School of Communications, returns to North Carolina on Jan. 20, 2008.

Eke is joined in leading the group byLynda Butler-Storsved, an instructor in the health and human performancedepartment. The trip is partially funded by a grant from Elon’s ProjectPericles.
