Elon University has collected more than 38,000 pounds of recyclables since entering the RecycleMania contest at the end of January, posting a solid first place ranking amongst Southern Conference schools entered in the "Whole Campus" competition.

Overall, a collective weight volume of 38,280 pounds ranks Elon No. 88 out of 188 schools in the same classification.
A fourth week collection of 10,020 pounds surpassed last year’s recycled weight volume of 9,504 pounds by a slim 516 pounds, yet collection is still exceeding goals for the year.
Elon has now met the halfway mark of the contest. Week 5 results will be out next week, hopefully with more good news on continued weight volume growth. Please continue to make that extra effort to keep recycling.
