Seven Elon University students won awards at Princeton University’s Crisis Simulation of East Africa from Feb. 28 – March 2. The students include the following: John Bateman, Brian Ray, Bobby Chamberlain, Mike Carver, Katie Serex, Mitch Plummer and Anna Cornacchio.
Students played the roles of cabinet officers of nations in the Horn of Africa, as well as China, the United States and non-state actors. Inspired by Princeton’s conference, the Model United Nations organization is planning its own crisis simulation of the Middle East for International Relations classes on April 6-7.
