Daily prize: $40 gift card to Chili’s.
Founders Day Trivia Competition
Each weekday from March 5-11, 2008, a new question will be posted on
E-Net before 10 a.m. All Elon students, faculty and staff are welcome
to submit one answer to foundersday@elon.edu, and at the end of each
day, all correct answers will be pooled and a winner chosen at random.
For help finding the
answers to the trivia questions, check Durward T. Stokes’ book, “Elon
College: Its History and Traditions.” Answers may be submitted until 6 p.m.
Participants may only win one prize during the daily contests but are
eligible to win a grand prize drawn on Founders Day – provided they
have answered all five trivia questions correctly.
Prize winners will be announced at College Coffee on Tuesday, March 11. The trivia contest is sponsored by SGA.
In celebration of Elon’s 119th birthday, Founders Day will honor
William S. Long, who founded what was then Elon College in 1889 and
served as its first president until 1894.
A special chapel program will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008.
