Campbell is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro. He is a renowned expert on career satisfaction, and his March 12 presentation, titled “Leadership in the Context of Life,” helps students make wise career decisions by looking at stages of life based on roles. All members of the Elon community are invited to attend.
Campbell’s presentation is a colorful, graphic depiction of the multiple roles that leaders play simultaneously, each with interlocking implications. These roles include child, student, worker and leader. Campbell also discusses related issues of family, physical, emotional and financial health, and blends in quotes from Shakespeare, Socrates, Mamie Van Doren and Daniel Levinson to emphasize his message.
A leader in the establishment of the Center for Creative Leadership, Campbell is well known as the author of the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory and the Campbell Interests and Skills Survey (CISS). He has received numerous honors, including the 2006 Distinguished Psychologist in Management by The Society for Psychologists in Management.
