College Chapel
Thursday, March 20
9:50-10:20am
Whitley Auditorium
This day is known as “Maundy Thursday” or “Holy Thursday” on the Christian calendar, falling the Thursday prior to Easter. “Maundy” from the Latin for “command” relates to the command recorded in the Gospel of John to “love one another.” So our focus will be on love for one another as experienced in true friendship.
Our guest speaker is Father Gerry Waterman, Catholic Campus Minister, who is of the Franciscan tradition (Order of Franciscan Monks), professing Solemn Vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience since he joined the order in 1981. He promises to be a great speaker!
Music will be provided by Professor Mark Rumley, organist.
All are welcome!
