The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business is featured as one of the nation's top programs in "The Best B-Schools" a new book from BusinessWeek. Details...
The book spotlights Elon’s part-time MBA program for its range of resources such as an integrated curriculum, executive speakers and hands-on learning opportunities.
Elon is one of only 30 schools with a part-time MBA program selected by Louis Lavelle, a BusinessWeek associate editor and supervisor of the magazine’s business school rankings, selected for inclusion in the publication. Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. was the only other North Carolina school to make the list.
Elon MBA students and alumni interviewed for the book gave the program A+ rankings for its emphasis on teamwork, facilities and support. Ethics, international business and classmate caliber also received top honors.
“The Elon MBA program provided an outstanding experiential learning environment, focusing on leadership in a global economy,” said one student. “It has relatively small class sizes, an engaging faculty, and a close-knit student/faculty/staff community.”
“Elon has an excellent MBA program; it’s very focused on making sure that students are learning the material,” said another student. “The professors bend over backwards to accommodate personal and professional conflicts and schedules.”
Many also praised the MBA program’s flexible schedule, opportunities for international study and affordability.
In 2007, Elon’s MBA program was ranked #2 in the South and #12 overall
in BusinessWeek’s inaugural list of part-time MBA programs. The rankings
placed Elon ahead of Wake Forest University, the
only other North Carolina school to make the regional Top Five list. Elon’s program was ranked behind only Atlanta’s Emory University for best program in the South.
