Former House Speaker Morgan to visit law school, April 3

Richard Morgan, former speaker of the N.C. House, will visit with Elon law students during a program from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., Thursday, April 3 in room 206 at the law school. Morgan spent 16 years in the state legislature and is a candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction.

The program, sponsored by Elon Law Republicans, is open to all students and faculty.

Morgan was elected to the House in 1990 and served 8 consecutive terms. He has served as vice-chairman of the House Finance Committee; Rules Committee chairman, and House Minority Leader. He served as speaker in 2003-2004.
