Family Abuse Services is a local non-profit organization that assists vicitims of domestic abuse by administering court processes and paper work, providing Crisis Line support, and a a shelter and transitional housing for abused women, men and children.
Family Abuse Services also facilitates an awareness program in local elementary schools (via puppet show) in order to create a space where children can seek guidance if they are in abusive situations.
Family Abuse Services works with dozens of volunteers to run their programs and need an active student volunteer coordinator.
