Lisa Marie Peloquin, Aaron Peeks, and Angela Lewellyn Jones from the sociology & anthropology department recently presented several papers at the Southern Sociological Society meetings in Richmond, Va.
Peloquin & Lewellyn Jones both presented in a session titled “Teaching About Gender Inequality.” Peloquin’s paper was titled “Caveman Cooks, Iron Chefs, and Hegemonic Masculinity: Foodways and the Embodiment of Gender,” and Lewellyn Jones’ work was titled “Professional Networking: A Path to Understanding Gender Inequality.”
In a separate session, Peeks presented work titled “It’s not about living uncomfortably: The implications of defining sustainability.”
