Committee announces 2008-2009 Service-Learning Faculty Scholars

The Service-Learning Faculty Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the 2008-2009 Service-Learning Faculty Scholars.  Selected faculty will be developing or refining courses with service-learning components through participating in seminars throughout Fall 2008. 

The 2008-2009 Scholars are:

Cassie Kircher, English, who will be developing a service-learning creative writing course;

Sandra Reid, Human Services, who will be deepening and refining the service-learning component of a general studies course in South Africa;

Frances Ward-Johnson, Communications, who will be focusing on service-learning in the Strategic Writing course;

Beth Warner, Human Services, who will be developing a problem-based group work approach to service-learning in the Introduction to Human Services;

Alex Yap, Business, who will be focusing on service-learning as a component of the Global Experience course.
