Frances Ward-Johnson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, has been named to the editorial board of the Journal of International Women’s Studies.
The journal, which has been published since 2000, is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scholars, activists and students. Through its diverse collection, the journal aims to create an opportunity for building bridges across the conventional divides of scholarship and activism; “western” and “third world” feminisms; professionals and students; men and women.
The editorial board includes 30 members from various universities and research organizations in areas such as communications, political science, women’s studies, sociology, history, and anthropology. Editorial board members represent the U.S. and six other countries.
