Senior Brian Fink was given a national Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists May 19.
Fink was a national finalist for his television sports
photography of last season’s Elon at Wofford football game, which the Phoenix
won, 24-13.
As a national finalist, Fink has been recognized as one of
the top three student videographers in the nation. He will be given his award Sept.
5 during the Mark of Excellence luncheon at 2008 SPJ Convention and National
Journalism Conference in Atlanta.
Fink is a segment producer and senior videographer for the
Elon Phoenix Weekly, which airs on Saturday mornings during ESPN2’s local
sports break on select cable systems in central North Carolina.
