Dozens of police officers and emergency medical crews gathered July 17
at Elon University for a daylong training exercise meant to sharpen law
enforcement responses in the event of a campus crisis.

Elon University police and campus safety, in coordination with local
law enforcement agencies, will conduct a daylong crisis training exercise on

Coker receives grant for plant biology project
July 17, 2008
Jeffrey Coker, an assistant professor of biology at Elon, and a team of
two additional biology professors have received a $30,000 grant from the
American Society of Plant Biologists Education Foundation for their
science education outreach program. It is the second grant in as many years for the team.
