Victor Streib, visiting professor in the Elon University School of Law, was a guest on "The State of Things," WUNC radio's statewide program, on July 16. Streib discussed women and crime on the program with host Frank Stasio.
Streib is the leading national scholar on the death penalty for women.Many of his books and articles focus on this topic, including the deathpenalty for girls, for battered women, and for lesbians. Streib’slatest book is “The Fairer Death: Executing Women in Ohio” (2006). As alawyer, he has represented death row clients before the United StatesSupreme Court, and his research publications have been cited 28 timesby that court.
