Elon is among more than 70 colleges and universities recognized on a special "Green Colleges" Web site created by the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU). The site details initiatives on campuses that promote environmental sustainability.

The Carolina Peacemaker, a Greensboro newspaper and member of the BlackPressUSA Network, profiled Elon University School of Law Interim Dean George Johnson in an Aug. 6 article. The story by reporter Benjamin Fair details Johnson's distinguished career and his plans for leading the law school.
