Monica Pagano, Assistant Dean of International Programs, and Laura Roselle, professor of political science have had an article accepted for publication in Frontiers, one of the most prominent American journals devoted to the analysis of study abroad.
The article, “Beyond Reflection Through an Academic Lens: Refraction and International Experiential Education,” discusses experiential learning and the process of reflection, introduces the concept of refraction to explain how learning takes place, and provides examples from international service learning and international internship programs.
