FCC using Elon students’ work to assess DTV transition

The Associated Press reports that the Federal Communications Commission is using the work of an Elon team led by Connie Book, associate dean of the School of Communications, in analyzing the DTV transition test which took place in Wilmington, N.C., Sept. 8.

Piatt named Vice President for University Advancement

James B. Piatt Jr. has been named vice president for university advancement at Elon University. Piatt currently serves as vice president for college advancement at Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio. He will succeed Nan P. Perkins, who retires this year after a 32-year career at Elon.
