Stephen Zunes, “U.S. Policy in Iraq and the Middle East: Challenges for the Next Administration”

Zunes is chair of the Middle Eastern Studies Program at the University of San Francisco. He is principal editor of Nonviolent Social Movements and the author of the highly acclaimed Tinderbox: U.S. Middle East Policy and the Roots of Terrorism. A frequent guest on National Public Radio, Pacifica Radio, PBS, BBC, MSNBC, his columns on foreign affairs can be read in newspapers in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Zunes has authored scores of articles for scholarly and
general readership on Middle Eastern politics, U.S. foreign policy,
international terrorism, nuclear nonproliferation, strategic nonviolent
action, and human rights.
