New MBA class enrolls at Elon

Elon University's part-time MBA program in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business enrolled this fall one of its most competitive classes in school history, with the average student boasting eight years of professional experience at companies such as Kayser Roth, Motorola, Pfizer, RF Micro Devices and UNC Health Care.

Students come from an impressive list of colleges and universities: North Carolina State University, The Ohio State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Notre Dame and Wake Forest University.

With an average cumulative GPA of 3.22, the highest of any cohort, and an average GMAT score of 554, which is nearly 50 points higher than the North Carolina mean score, this is the second most competitive class the history of Elon’s MBA program.

“The Love School of Business is excited to welcome this talented group to the Elon MBA community,” said professor Bill Burpitt, the MBA program director. “The class comes from diverse educational and life-experience backgrounds, and some members of the class who have already held high positions in their respective functions and industries.”
