Elon MBA receives two top-10 national rankings in Princeton Review’s “Best 296 Business Schools”

The MBA program of Elon’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business is ranked in the top 10 in two categories in The Princeton Review's 2009 edition of the "Best 296 Business Schools." The school was ranked sixth in the nation for “best administered” program and seventh in the nation for “best classroom experience.”

The Princeton Review’s annual guide of top graduate business programs is based on data provided by schools and a survey of 19,000 business school students across the nation.

Elon MBA students commended the school’s globally-focused curriculum, commitment to experiential learning and affordable cost. The wealth of professors with industry experience is a major asset, students said, along with “a strong corporate and alumni support system that allows for the latest technology and education methods to be utilized.”

The Princeton Review notes “Elon works hard to maximize its MBA experience” and students said the MBA program offers solid preparation in interpersonal skills, presentation skills and doing business in a global economy.

The guide points to the three-story, state-of-the-art Ernest A. Koury Sr. Business Center as an example of excellent facilities driving the school’s ascent.

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business — the premier accrediting agency for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in accounting and business administration. Elon is one of only four private universities in North Carolina with this accreditation.

The schools ranked in the top 10 best classroom experience were based on student assessment of professors’ teaching abilities and recognition in their fields, the integration of new business trends and practices in the curricula, and the intellectual level of classmates’ contributions in course discussions.
