Seeking student volunteers to drive senior citizens to the polls on Nov. 4. The shifts are 9am, noon, and 3pm. Must be van certified and must be able to attend an informational meeting on Nov. 3 at 7pm (location to be determined). It is preferred that volunteers have a 2-hour time block to commit.
This is a non-partisan effort to get seniors, who otherwise would have no transportation, to their polling stations. Vans will be going to three communities in Burlington: Alamance Plaza, Burlington Homes, and the Willows.
