LINCS Program Director

The Kernodle Center for Service has an unique leadership opportunity available for an undergraduate student at Elon.

The Leaders in Collaborative Service (LINCS) Program was started three years ago and provides an opportunity for students to act as the “volunteer coordinator” for one of eight local non-profit/KCSL partner organizations including Family Abuse Services, Cummings High School, Burlington Housing Authority, Positive Attitude Youth Center, Boys and Girls Club, Allied Churches, Koppertop Life Learning Center and Loaves and Fishes.  In order to best manage and maximize the programs’ potential, we have created a student Director of the LINCS Program position that oversees the coordinator’s activities.  It has been an invaluable experience for me and I know will enhance another student’s college experience. In addition, a stipend is available for the 10 hour per week commitment.

If you are interested in the position please attend one of two information sessions, 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 or 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 30 in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning.

Applications will become available in the Kernodle Center on Monday, Oct. 27. Applications will be due Friday, Oct. 31.  Interviews will be held Monday Nov. 3.

Please email LINCS@elon.edu with any questions.
