John G. Sullivan, Powell Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, will present a daylong workshop titled “Coming Home: Spirituality in Later Life.”
The workshop will be held on Nov. 14, 2008 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the United Church of Chapel Hill, 1321 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in Chapel Hill, NC.
The workshop is structured around the lessons from the seasons of life, especially Autumn and Winter.
The secret of all the great traditions is this simply truth: we already have all we seek. Autumn teaches us to let go of what obscures this simple truth. Winter teaches us to listen more deeply to what is hidden and to sense what is emerging in our lives.
