Country music sensation Casey Beathard ’90 has been named the winner of the 2008 BMI Country Songwriter of the Year Award, the second time since 2004 that he has received the honor.

Hunter Bacot, an associate professor of political science and director of the Elon University Poll, answered questions from News 14 Carolina on Nov. 14 regarding potential Cabinet selections by President-elect Barack Obama.
