Omri Shimron, an assistant professor of music, is scheduled to perform a chamber music recital at the Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Jan. 22, 2009, with cellist David Peshlakai. Peshlakai is principal cellist for the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.
The recital will feature works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven and Britten. Shimron will be playing Haydn’s Sonata in C minor, Hob. XVI, No. 20 and will join Peshlakai on a Beethoven’s Seven Variations on a Theme from Mozart’s “Magic Flute” as well as Benjamin Britten’s Sonata in C.
